About This Project
The Bernhard Residence came to us as a property with great bones but a landscape that had never quite lived up to its potential. The homeowners wanted a design that felt intentional, something that complemented the architecture of the home while creating usable outdoor space for their family.
We developed a plan that balanced curb appeal with everyday function. The front yard received a complete refresh with native plantings, fresh bed lines, and a more welcoming entry sequence. The backyard was reimagined as an extension of the home's living space, designed for both quiet mornings and weekend gatherings.
The result is a landscape that feels like it's always been part of the property, cohesive, mature, and built to thrive in Austin's climate.
What We Did
- Complete front and backyard landscape redesign
- Native and adaptive plant selection for year-round interest
- Fresh bed lines and edging for clean, defined borders
- Drip irrigation installation for water efficiency
- Decomposed granite pathways and mulch beds
- Grading improvements for proper drainage
