About This Project

Dan reached out wanting a landscape that reflected the character of his Travis Heights neighborhood, distinctive, mature-feeling, and water-wise. The original lawn required constant input to survive Austin summers, and he was ready to invest in something more durable and beautiful.

We developed a xeriscape-inspired design centered on Texas natives and adaptive perennials, plants selected to look better with each passing season rather than requiring replacement. A limestone pathway and entry feature tied the front together, while custom uplighting brought the property to life after dark.

The result is a landscape that reflects both the personality of the home and the intelligence of designing for Austin's specific climate, not against it.

This project showcases the beauty and functionality of xeriscaping, demonstrating how thoughtful design and native plants can create a stunning, sustainable landscape. The use of limestone not only ties in with the natural geology of the area but also provides a durable, low-maintenance solution for hardscaping. The strategic placement of LED lighting highlights the architectural features of the home and the intricate details of the landscape, creating a magical atmosphere in the evenings.
