Dan reached out wanting a landscape that reflected the character of his Travis Heights neighborhood — distinctive, mature-feeling, and water-wise. The original lawn required constant input to survive Austin summers, and he was ready to invest in something more durable and beautiful.
We developed a xeriscape-inspired design centered on Texas natives and adaptive perennials — plants selected to look better with each passing season rather than requiring replacement. A limestone pathway and entry feature tied the front together, while custom uplighting brought the property to life after dark.
The result is a landscape that reflects both the personality of the home and the intelligence of designing for Austin's specific climate — not against it.
What We Did
- Full front lawn conversion to xeriscape design
- Texas native planting scheme — Texas Sage, Autumn Sage, Salvia, Muhly Grass
- Limestone pathway from street to front door
- Custom limestone entry feature and bed edging
- Low-voltage LED uplighting on trees and architectural features
- Drip irrigation system — all new plantings
- Decomposed granite mulch throughout all beds
