The Shady Hollow property came to us as a blank canvas, a yard that had potential but lacked direction. The client wanted a functional outdoor space that could be used year-round for entertaining and everyday enjoyment, while being low-maintenance enough to fit a busy lifestyle.
We began with a thorough site assessment, taking note of existing grade, sun exposure, drainage patterns, and the client's lifestyle needs. From there, our design team developed a phased plan that integrated a custom stone patio, native plantings, and landscape lighting.
The result is a space that feels like an extension of the home, inviting, beautiful, and built to last in the Austin climate.
What We Did
- Custom flagstone patio with integrated seating wall
- Native and drought-tolerant plant selection and installation
- Low-voltage landscape lighting throughout the space
- Decomposed granite pathway and border installation
- Grading and drainage improvements
- Drip irrigation system for all new plantings
